Our planting design, made up of a palette of unique tropicals and exotics complemented the sharp formal lines of the architecture and grounds whilst giving the property an overarching lush, green, tropical feel.
Sumich Chaplin Architects enlisted our specialist landscape expertise to help deliver one of New Zealand’s most valuable single dwelling residential developments. The brief for this high-profile project was to design, detail and manage the implementation of a luxurious tropical landscape with no expense spared. Our ambition was to formalize the traditional subtropical style often seen in New Zealand to tie in with the symmetry of the architecture and create an aesthetic that could be carried throughout the entire property. Our planting design, made up of a palette of unique tropicals and exotics complemented the sharp formal lines of the front entrance to the house, the two swimming pools, and tennis court whilst giving the property an overarching lush, green, tropical feel. The grounds consist of large tiled patios with sprawling high-quality lawns suspended on podiums, mature kentia palm trees, lavish tropical plants and soft lighting to create a resort style setting, in the privacy of the owners home. Overall, the landscape is truly befitting of the value of this unique, landmark home.
