We were contracted by Focus Planners on behalf of Wyndham Hotel Group to provide a visual assessment and visual simulation images for the proposed Ramada Suites Manukau Pacific Centre, located directly adjacent to the Vodafone Events Center and Vector Wero Whitewater Park on Great South Road in Manukau. A summary of the resource consent application states the proposal is to erect a 35-metre high, 10-storey building to accommodate 85 hotel rooms, 101 residential apartments, with a restaurant, cafe and gym/healthcare facility on the ground floor, and a basement car park. The proposal also includes 82 car parks, 36 cycle parking spaces, relocation of seven pohutukawa trees, comprehensive landscaping, signage and associated earthworks. Our visual assessment and accompanying visual simulation imagery saw consent granted after detailed council scrutiny being very close to residential areas.
