We wanted the landscape to feel as though it had always been there
We worked with a private developer to create a distinct sense of place for the gateway and entry road to this boutique development on the edge of the beautiful North Shore Golf Course in Albany. We complemented the established manuka and kanuka trees that remained once vegetation had been cleared for the access road with further native under-planting in varying species and grades to create a natural effect. We wanted the landscape to feel as though it had always been there. The front entry gates were kept subtle using basalt stone columns and hardwood post and rails to help set the tone for the development on arrival.
