The public realm encompasses the streets, roads, paths, and parks in our cities, towns and villages where communities come together and public life occurs. At Greenwood Associates, we believe making places for people in the public realm is an art form. Good public realm and urban design can enhance the connection between people and places, making the places where we live and work more accessible, comfortable and enjoyable to be in. We pride ourselves in creating sustainable and ecologically friendly spaces that truly work for people and have a distinct sense of place. Our design process involves gaining as much social, historical and ecological understanding of a site as possible to ensure our spaces are culturally sensitive, have strong social links and respond to the natural landscape and its resources.
